Port St Mary, Port Soderick, Langness, Ballaugh Curraghs, Maughold, Glen Auldyn, Archallagan, Calf Sound, Glen Rushen, Montpelier, Groudle Glen, Clypse and Kerrowdhoo, Chibbanagh, Bradda Head, Fleshwick, Calf of Man

This common plant can be found in grassy places all over the island, preferring slightly damp soil. Sorrel and Dock plants come from the same family.

While edible, Sorrel contains oxalic acid and shouldn't be eaten in large quantities.

The Manx name for Sorrel is "Shughlaig".
