Similar to Sea Bindweed (Calystegia soldanella), Field Bindweed has larger flowers and rounded leaves. Its flowers can be white or pink, which distinguish them from the pure white flowers of Hedge and Giant Bindweeds.
Like other bindweeds, this plant contains toxic alkaloids. It can be used to make a green dye.
The Manx name for this flower is "Kiangleyder magheragh".
