The Silverburn river flows from South Barrule to Castletown. Its banks are home to one of the most varied collections of wildflowers that can be found on the island.
Amongst others, you will find snowdrops, common butterbur, wood anemone and common monkey-flower growing along the Silverburn's banks - all species that are uncommon elsewhere on the island.
