Glen Helen was a major tourist attraction in Victorian times. Today it is home to many wildflowers, including a large amount of wood anemones, bluebells and other plants that prefer a wet, shady habitat.

The upper slopes of the valley are more suited to sun-loving plants, including bilberry bushes.

Other points of interest in Glen Helen include the Rhenass waterfalls, the 'Wishing Stone' and an ancient site which may have been a monk's cell in early Christian times.
