Just off the south coast of the island, the Calf of Man is a haven for birds and wildlife of all kinds. In the spring many areas of the Calf are blanketed in Bluebells and Thrift is very abundant.
Much of the Calf is very exposed, limiting many plant species to a few sheltered gorges, but the Calf is well worth visiting for any lover of nature. In the summer months, regular boat trips to the Calf are arranged from Port Erin and Port St Mary.
