The Ballaugh Curraghs contain the island's largest wetland nature reserve.
This is one of the best places to find wild orchids, including rarer species such as the Early Marsh Orchid and Northern Marsh Orchid. Other wetland plants such as bogbean and ragged robin can also be found here.
As well as flowers, the Ballaugh Curraghs are home to a population of wild wallabies - the only population of its kind outside Australia and New Zealand.
