This nature reserve has been developed as a habitat for local wildlife and offers a very diverse collection of different wildflowers in a very small area. While many species can be found in different locations around the island, this is one of the only places where many different species can be found growing together.

Flowers found here which are rare elsewhere on the island include yellow loosestrife and bog pimpernel.
