One of many similar-looking yellow flowers, Cat's-ear is one of the most common on the island. The most common similar-looking plants are Dandelions, Mouse-Ear Hawkweed and Smooth Hawk's-Beard.

Cat's-ear is a common sight all over the island. It is edible much like Dandelions, and its roots can be roasted to make a coffee substitute. It may be toxic to horses in large quantities.
